Fifth Story is a live performance that I performed at Bemis Center for Contemporary Art in Omaha, NE that explored the relationship between the body, architectural sites, and memory. During the performance, I activated the fifth floor of a multistory building with movement and gesture while uncovering five stories/love poems dedicated to the site that I had written and buried in the walls and floors of the space. Each story personified the building in an attempt to uncover the histories that the space carried that predated the present moment. The performance highlighted the many ways a physical space can foster experiences, and how the cultivation of those memories are forever stored within the environment's ethos.
