"By Way of Revolution" is an interdisciplinary series that utilizes the mediums of collage, installation, video, performance, and social engagement to address the inherited histories of protest that inform contemporary social movements. As a 2018-2019 Artist in Residence of Critical Race Theory at Michigan State University, I exhibited this series at the campus gallery, with a live performance at the MSU Broad Art Museum. The exhibition also included the premier of my video project, "The Call." Considered a "living exhibition," the project evolved over its seven week installment, with an active schedule of programs in collaboration with Black Lives Matter of Michigan and MSU women of color lead organizations, including Women of Color Initiatives, Sister Circle, Black Student Union, MSU Black Book creators, and Women Embodied Knowledge Forum.
